Squealing or grinding brakes
A squeal or grind when you slow down usually means the pads are wearing thin — worth a look before it reaches the rotors.

What your car is telling you
Cars usually warn you before they leave you stranded. Here's what a few common signs tend to mean — no scare tactics, just a plain-English heads-up.
A squeal or grind when you slow down usually means the pads are wearing thin — worth a look before it reaches the rotors.
That light means the car logged a fault code. It isn't always serious, but it's worth reading to know what's actually going on.
A shake through the wheel or seat often points to tires, alignment, or a worn suspension part working loose.
Burning, sweet, or sharp smells can come from brakes, coolant, or oil. It's best to catch what's behind it early.
Cranking slowly or needing a few tries usually traces back to the battery, starter, or charging system.
Fresh fluid on the driveway is worth tracing. The color often tells us whether it's oil, coolant, or something else.
About Us
We're a family-run repair shop on Morrison Road, and we've built our name on one thing: telling drivers the truth about their cars. Plenty of folks come to us worried they're about to get upsold — sometimes after another shop quoted them thousands for work they didn't need. We'd rather find the actual issue, fix what's broken, and earn a customer for the next ten years than make a quick buck today. Bring us the car you're not sure about; we'll walk you through what's really going on and what it'll take to make it right.
Based right here in Denver — we answer the phone and show up when we say we will.
Clear quotes, no surprises. You know what it costs before we start.
We do the job right the first time and stand behind our work.

Prev mechanic for my FJ 2007 had ruined the suspension and i was quoted 4k-5k for repairs. Ernie was able to find the issue and fix it for 1.5K. The car drives perfectly for the first time in two years. It's hard to find a fair and honest shop. Will be going back and highly recommend.
Duane has been my mechanic for at least 10 years. He has fixed up my old Jeep Wrangler, my husband's prius and now my Kia Sportage. Always knowledgeable, more than fair and not out to make a buck off you. These days I'll drive 35 minutes even with whatever issue my car has because I know I can trust him to help me make the best choice for my car and finances.
Best shop in Denver!!! Ernie gave me an estimated time on when my car would be done, and he was right on time. He didn't take up extra time like other shops NOR did he slack. He got my car in and got it done. The pricing was great too. I'm 25, and a girl. My dad taught me all about cars, which most mechanics might underestimate. He was not one of them! Everything was great and I will go back for everything!
Duane at Ernie's is a great man. He is knowledgeable, honest and a great mechanic. I will use his services from now on.
I am always thrilled with the outcome of my vehicles every time they are fixed, I never have any other problems, it's always done right. Great service, dependable, priced right, and has Integrity.
